"An exceptionally delightful and seamless digital service that masterfully combines inspiring visual design, the needs of its target audience, and business objectives, setting a new standard for digital configurators."

That was the jury's verdict at Grand One 2026, where our Showroom created for Saxdor won Best Digital Service. It was a good moment. The team deserved it, and it's always meaningful when work gets recognized by people outside the project. I think it's worthwhile to reflect on how we got here.
A good product solves a problem. What Virtual Showroom essentially solves is how end customers can make a purchase decision on a product they cannot see physically, whether it's made-to-order or simply not available conveniently at their location. The market has no shortage of configurators, but our hypothesis was that it lacked something that felt like a genuinely premium product experience: one that combines cinematic visual storytelling with configuration functionality in a single package, and that could still be deployed at scale across product categories and markets. That tension between quality and scalability is where Virtual Showroom lives, and it's genuinely hard to resolve.
To bring it to life, we needed a client who truly felt the problem. With Saxdor we found exactly that. They have the ambition and drive to lead on technology in the boating industry, and a genuine desire to explore new territory. The challenge was concrete: make it easier for their dealer network to sell configurable yachts that aren't physically present on the floor. With Virtual Showroom, that's now a reality, and the way boats are displayed and sold is changing.
Saxdor adopted Younite Virtual Showroom, deployed as “Saxdor Digital Showroom,” to enable hyper-realistic boat exploration through curated, guided digital experiences across its global network.
The solution allows Saxdor’s dealer network to present every model digitally, even before production is complete, creating an accurate and engaging experience that supports both sales teams and customers throughout the buying process.
Delivering on this need required real conviction in the technical choices. We built on Unreal Engine rather than WebGL, not the obvious path for a scalable SaaS product given the infrastructure demands of real-time pixel streaming, but the right one for the visual fidelity the experience needed. The configurator handles genuinely complex logic: nested options, conditional rules, tiered packages. All of it within a sales environment that feels premium and requires no onboarding to use.
That's not a trivial product problem. It requires holding a lot of constraints at once.
“Winning in the Best Digital Service category is highly meaningful for us. It validates that we are on the right path in advancing technology leadership not only in the boating industry but across the wider technology landscape. Together with Younite AI, we are building new ways to support dealers and customers throughout the buying journey,” Sakari Kosunen, Product Manager, Saxdor Yachts.
Awards like Grand One recognize the outcomes that are visible and polished. What they're recognizing implicitly is also the quality of the decisions made underneath, including the choice to layer cinematic storytelling directly into the real-time configurator, a call that made both elements stronger.
Grand One was a good evening. We're not done, but it's good to know we're building the right thing.
