At Younite, we’ve long believed that the future of urban life will be shaped by technology that not only sees the world, but understands it.

That’s why we’re proud to be named one of the pioneering partners for NVIDIA’s new Omniverse Blueprint for Smart City AI. We believe this will be  a major shift in how cities can use AI, digital twins and real-time data to improve the lives of residents. It also gives teams like ours a new level of capability and speed

The New Standard for Smarter Cities

NVIDIA’s Smart City AI blueprint is more than a set of tools. It’s an integrated framework combining NVIDIA Omniverse, Cosmos, NeMo, and Metropolis.

  • Omniverse is a real-time 3D development platform for creating and operating digital twins -  photorealistic, physics-based simulations of the real world.

  • Cosmos is a foundation for complex large-scale simulations, like cities.

  • NeMo is a framework for building, customizing, and deploying large language models (LLMs) and multimodal generative AI.

  • Metropolis is a platform for AI video analytics and intelligent vision.

Together, this framework allows developers to create realistic, scalable digital twins of entire cities, simulate complex scenarios, and deploy intelligent AI agents that monitor and respond to real-world events.

For us at Younite, a company that is an expert in creating 3D digital twins of cities, this marks a pivotal change in enabling intelligent digital twins, where data and AI solve real-world problems.

Pressure on city development

Why do we need all this? Urban populations are growing rapidly, expected to nearly double by 2050. This growth puts massive pressure on infrastructure, sustainability, and public services. To meet these challenges, cities need ways to plan smarter, test faster, and respond quicker. The Omniverse Blueprint helps them do exactly that.

Using SimReady, photorealistic digital twins powered by NVIDIA Omniverse and Cosmos, we can simulate everything from traffic flows and energy grids to emergency response systems. AI models are trained with NeMo and deployed with Metropolis to provide real-time insights from video and sensor data—enabling proactive decision-making across city departments.

From Prototype to Citywide System, Faster Than Ever

At Younite, we’ve worked with forward-thinking partners like Bedrock (Detroit, Cleveland), Gothenburg, and LinkerVision (Kaohsiung) to create photorealistic, virtual urban environments. Now, with NVIDIA’s blueprint, we anticipate we can start doing this faster, more accurately, and with deeper integration across systems.

What once required months of stitching together custom infrastructure can now begin with a robust, open-standard foundation. The result? Cities that adapt in real time - whether that means rerouting traffic, identifying energy inefficiencies, or simulating the impact of zoning laws before they’re passed. A fascinating goal!

At Younite, our role is to bring these blueprints to life, not just technically, but meaningfully. We customize them to local needs, apply design thinking to every layer, and ensure the results are actionable for the people who use them.

Because to us, smart cities aren’t about hype. They’re about solving real problems with clarity, creativity, and care.
